Estate Planning
Wills, Trusts & More
The Law Offices of Michael D. Gorman, LLC provides everything from simple wills to complicated estate plans, depending on the needs of our clients. We can provide a number of trusts, depending on the situation, including special needs trusts. We also provide probate administration.
Our office provides everything from a basic will package to living trusts, charitable trusts, irrevocable trusts, qualified domestic relations trusts, marital deduction trusts, bypass trusts, personal residence trusts, and more.
-
§ 3
Every family
Estate Planning for LGBTQ+
Marriage, Civil Unions, Domestic Partnerships
We help our GLBT friends achieve their estate planning goals, and make sure that their partner can be involved and have their say if one of the couple tragically is incapacitated.
-
§ 4
Providing for a loved one
Special Needs Planning
Plan ahead for when you can’t be there.
Unfortunately many people think that if they have a family member who is already incapacitated or receiving governmental support, that they are not able to leave that loved one monies at death. This is not true. Our office can help plan so that your loved one does not forego any governmental support they are receiving, while at the same time being able to receive a gift or bequest from a family member in their will or estate plan.
-
§ 5
When capacity is in question
Guardianship & Conservatorship
Incapacity Planning
Our office helps our clients apply for guardianship and conservatorships on behalf of a loved one who may need these services due to insufficient incapacity planning. We also provide incapacity planning so that our clients will not need a guardian or conservator in most cases in the first place!
-
§ 6
The elder years
Elder Law & Medicaid Planning
The Law Offices of Michael D. Gorman, LLC help our clients prepare for challenges such as illnesses and death, and help our clients preserve their assets in the manner they choose. We also apply for guardianship and conservatorships on behalf of elders.
Our office helps elders plan for incapacity, qualify for government benefits, preserve their money and property, and help fulfill their ultimate wishes.
-
§ 7
After a loss
Probate Administration
Our office helps represent executors, administrators, and family members who have been chosen to probate their loved one’s will. We work with these chosen family members to ensure a smooth probate process, and one that is as painless as possible.
